Prime Day 2022: Best Early Deals Available Now

We’re just days away from Amazon Prime Day 2022. The massive sales event runs July 12-13 and will feature thousands upon thousands of great deals. In addition to deals at Amazon, other major retailers will attempt to steal some of Amazon’s thunder by offering deals of their own. Though we’re still waiting on many official Prime Day 2022 deals to go live, there are already some great early discounts that you can shop now.

We’re focusing on gaming, tech, and entertainment with our Prime Day coverage here at GameSpot, but Prime Day brings deals across practically every category of product you can think of. We’ll continue to add more deals to this list as they go live.

While we already have some great game deals listed below, we expect to see far more next week for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Prime Day always offers a great opportunity to stock up on major game releases for less, including recently released titles. You’ll be able pair those game discounts with some great accessories and tech such as controllers, headsets, 4K TVs, gaming monitors, and gaming laptops. In fact, there are already some stellar deals on a wide variety of tech products that are worth taking advantaging of now. We also wouldn’t be surprised to see the elusive PS5 in stock during Prime Day. For Nintendo Switch owners, Prime Day always offers a chance to pick up exclusive games that don’t tend to receive discounts very often. Typically, we see Switch exclusives for $30 to $40, and we could even see those type of deals on newer releases such as Nintendo Switch Sports, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The only downside is that the V2 Chroma can only be used with a wired connection. That said, the cord is lengthy and durable and the controller is simply wonderful for Xbox and PC gaming.

Amazon’s Luna controller is on sale for $40 for Prime members. Since it normally retails for $70, this is a great deal. The Luna controller is designed for Amazon’s cloud game streaming service of the same name. If you are a Prime member, you actually have access to a rotating batch of cloud streaming games each month. July’s offerings include Mega Man 11, Overcooked 2, and more. But even if you don’t care about cloud streaming, the Luna controller is a solid pick for PC gaming in general. It has a similar form factor and control layout as the Switch Pro controller, though it does feel a tad more premium than the Switch controller.

4K Fire TVs

Amazon has already marked down a bunch of 4K TVs ahead of Prime Day. The focus so far has been on Smart Fire TVs, which feature the Prime TV interface that makes it easy to access streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, and HBO Max.

There are some really budget-friendly deals in Amazon’s early Prime Day TV sale. Toshiba’s M550 series is seeing the biggest discount from a dollar perspective. You can grab a 75-inch 4K Fire TV for only $700, which means you’re saving a whopping $700 on the list price. If you don’t need a TV that large, the 65-inch is only $500, and the 55-inch is just $350.

You have to decide whether you’re looking for indoor or outdoor security cameras. A two-pack of Blink Mini indoor cameras is discounted to just $30, while a three-pack of weather-resistant outdoor cameras is down to $125. Alternatively, you can get a bundle that comes with one indoor and two outdoor cameras for $100. You can bump that bundle up to three outdoor cameras for a total of $125.
